'86 Bronco II Eddie Bauer Restore.........

What are you confused about it? With the calipers they have to have soft lines so the caliper can move.

I am good like that fool:thefinger:

Where does the hard line connect? :icon_confused:

And I aint no fool, fool. :thefinger:

The hard lines connect in the center just like your 7.5 does (along with the Ranger 8.8 and the Gen 1 Explorer 8.8). If you use 2 passenger side soft lines, you can leave it that way. You will have to re-do the lines on the axle so they are shorter thought.

The stock '95-'01 Explorer line from the frame came down on the driver side and then y'd off to go over to the passenger side via hard line until it got to the passenger side soft line.

Completed and work wonderful. I wouldn't have drum breaks for nothing after having these on the rear!

How did your non ABS truck take to your ABS axle? I have heard conflicting reports about how the explorer disc brakes work with vehicles that don't have ABS.

The axle no longer has ABS. It works fine.

The issues I were told of was that the non ABS master cylinder didn't put out enough fluid for the calipers or something like that, and that the ABS master put out more and used a valve to actually tune it to the right amount of pressure.

It sounds kind of hoaky to me, with only RABS for the early 90's trucks the master shouldn't care too much about front to rear proportioning anyway IMO.

I used a master cylinder off a '90 BII. The '90 BII's had RABS. Mine works fine.

I had to adjust my plunger on the brake pedal going into the master cylinder to firm up the brake pedal.

Yeah I've done several 7.5s and 8.8s and never broke one either :dunno:
The only problem I have ever had getting the cross pin bolt out was the bolt being rounded prior to me trying to get it off.

I got some pieces today that will allow me to hook up the e-brakes using my stock cables. Now I just have to figure out what to crimp on the end of the stock cable to keep it from pulling out.
