I have read that the 10spd needs a couple thousand miles to basically learn how to transmission.

I agree, the view is nice, it looks like it has a high beltline on the outside but didn't really feel like it on the inside.

Oddly, I sat in a new '150 and I found it kind of claustrophobic. Huge dash, low windshield, blocky hood... and it seemed like they had the mirror stuck in the middle of the windshield. It was like trying to see out of a tank.

Toyota was doing a test drive thing there, I wish Ford was too.

It was stinking cold, I thought about seeing if I could "test drive" the Tacoma to where we parked...

I have the mirror folded up against top of windshield in F-150. Between the height of box/rake of truck/tint of rear window, I can't see anything behind unless it is mile away or Mack truck and with the backup camera, I don't need it when reversing. Add to that, I learned to drive on 2 ton truck where all you would have seen in an interior mirror was the grain box, so I don't have much use for one anyways.

If I have the opportunity I will glue the mirror hanger at the top of the windshield.

So it fits right between a 2 door explorer and a F150. Sounds about right

It's reassuring to hear that 6'3" with a 38" inseam has plenty of leg room. I'm 6'5" with a 36" inseam and was a little concerned

It was just icing on the cake, it seemed like it was mounted really low on what was already a seemingly small and cluttered windshield.

I dd an older F-150 and it seemed like I have a much better forward view than a '18+.

Your results may vary for headroom however.

My brother has shorter legs and longer torso to come out about the same height as me, he had a heck of a time with my '85 when I was in high school. The little button in the middle of a ballcap? Yeah, for him that didn't play nice with my steel headliner when I hit a good bump.

Yup, they are not the same kind of leaves the older trucks had. They seemed to carry weight from towing on TFL's video better than the Taco did. Much better after I crawled under and saw it really didn't squat much on the show.

I know you can temper the metal different, but i always thought a leaf was a leaf.

They kind of flare out at the ends, it isn't a straight leaf like a normal old school leaf. Supposed to be progressive rate.

How well they hold up I don't know. I saw the TFL towing vid and thought"that thing is about bottomed out" and then I saw the truck at the show with nothing on it that didn't have a whole lot more clearance.
