85 Mad Max Build

I put the blue led lights in my dash and can actually see the speedometer now without squinting.

wow that is a real turn around for that truck, looks good.......its funny what farmers have hideing in those old sheds.
Years ago one of my highschool buddies uncles has a 69 or early 70's Ford Bronco just sitting in a shed out back. Of course he will not part with it but damn at least use it don't let her sit:bawling:

I LOVE how this thing looks now, I hope i can get a 1st Gen that is that clean!!!!

Man I love that it wasn't crushed! That's an awesome turn around. I'd love to change my LED's too. I hate having to squint at my gauges, lol.

Good luck with this..I'll be staying tuned for sure.

update:

been driving the truck on weekends mostly and finally took it 4-wheeling 2 weeks ago (pics coming soon)

got most of the bugs worked out....even took some time and adjusted the valves to stop the incessant TICKING
that in itself cured some problems....no more high idle :) and i got a little more power out of the top end....no more downshifting up hills on the highway

been busy with 2 jobs so updates have been very few and i've had even less time to work on it....but i do have a few pics coming soon

How did you do the LEDs for the stock gauges??? They look awesome

had to pull the cluster and remove the gauges....

placed some LED strips just behind the gauges and soldered them to the factory leads. took some tinkering to get the light output just right with no hotspots but i won in the end...lol

I had to pull the guage cluster I couldnt get them all in otherwise, it took about an hour

Pretty interesting..I guess you pull the cluster and just replace the bulbs behind it with those colored LED's?

pic updates....

Yea the bulbs I got had little indentations on them you cant push them all the way in and be careful puttin them in the cluster. I have heard they burn out easy tho so I keep them set on low briteness but they are still twice as brite as the stock bulbs.

Looks great i think id like the red lights better then blue anyways. Better for your night vision. I usually end up with green neons all throughout my truck anyways

Hopefully i can figure that out when i Redo my Interior, i just got it all back into a functioning fashion, now its time to upgrade!!!
