85 brake issue

yes...it was bench bled properly...i've been a mechanic for over 18 years....never had this kind of problem with any vehicle...i have bled the entire system several times....changed every suspect part...still the same.....

did alot of research....adjusted the pushrod in the power booster...helped a little but still has alot of pedal travel

Have someone standing and watching while you go about 15-20 mph and lock up the brakes in gravel to see if all 4 wheels lock up. Even though you can be getting fluid out of all 4 bleeders, I've had master cylinder and proportioning valve problems in which only the front or rear circuit was getting enough pressure to do any significant amount of braking. Usually it's the rears. I swapped axles on my '89 back in 2004 and I was barely getting any fluid out of the rear bleeders afterwards. I got it in the gravel and looked out the window and stomped the brakes. The front locked up but the rear didn't. The way it's plumbed with a tee on top of the diff, the pressure given to each rear wheel is the same.

On another note, it's also an equal distance between that tee fitting on top of the diff, to each rear wheel cylinder. So when bleeding them, it doesn't make a difference which rear wheel you bleed first. I did the drivers side first so I could see into the cab and make sure my girlfriend was properly following my instructions on what to do with the pedal. She's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.
