'84 carb ... need some help

just picked up an 84 2.8L auto ranger for $175 ... couldn't pass it up. previous owner said they rebuilt the carb but that it needed adjusted.

the throttle linkage doesn't look right to me. does anyone have a similar truck that can post a picture of the throttle and kickdown linkage as a guide?

tag on the front of the carb is stamped E37E AAA. it looks like there is an idle adjustment screw on the back of the idle lever but with the kickdown linkage hooked up it pulls the idle lever back so far that there is no way to adjust. ???

nothing like reworking whats already been reworked ... the wrong way. ugh ....

I have a similar problem. '85, I rebuilt the carb on mine and I'm having the same issue. Not sure what to due.
