I have an 84 Bronco II (2.8) that I’m fixing to put in a long block. I drove the truck for about three months before making this decision and had no problems with the transmission that I know of. Here’s the question: Replace the torque converter while the engine in out or not? Front seal?

Thanks!

Don't fix it, if it ain't broke...torque converters do occasionally go bad, but if you weren't having any problems, then there's no problem with your torque converter. Is your front seal leaking? if it's got a lot of miles you might want to do it just in case, but if it's not leaking and you are easy on it while you swap your trans, it should be OK..
