83 diesel needs more HP!

Anyone have any hints or tips for squeezing just a few more HP from the 2.2l Perkins that is getting me passed by Semi's in 2nd gear going 34mph uphill? PLEASE?!?

I'd like to add a turbo, but I cant find any info on these guys...

Cut holes through the floorboards and Flintstone it. Those are Rollscanardly's.
They roll down one hill and can hardly get up the next.

I like the jet engine idea.

I'd try to crank the pump up some. Most diesel injection pumps can be tweaked. If you go too far it will wash the rings and will use oil like a whore, so don't get carried away with it... if it is smoking really badly you went too far.

run a qt of non detergent 30 wt oil (1.98 @ dollar general) with every full tank. it wont get you more power but it will keep you from destroying your fuel pump on the ULSD
