8.8 project.... finally

i finally got money to do the 8.8 explorer project. i am about to order parts this week. so i had a couple questions. nitro vs yukon gears? and dif covers? whats best and what is everyone using/like the most

Diff. cover - check these out, my understanding is they are bullet proof! A couple of guys on here have them and love 'em.

as far as gears go, I guess it would depend on the budget.

i am trying to build the strongest 8.8 i can bc i am pretty hard on everything i drive. i was going to buy from trs so i was looking at one of those 2 brands for gears. dif cover looks beast i will probably order that lol

gears are gears from what i have seen yukons seems to be top of the line tho. so get yukon

i've heard yukon gears are a pain the ass to setup... just my .02

as for the diff cover, i got mine from Ruff Stuff, and its a BEAST! i was tempted to take out our dodge 3/4 ton and drive over it a bit for shits and giggles haha

i am going to go with the ruff stuff one bc it has a lifetime warranty and seems to be a little bit more beast to me and cheaper. but thanks for the link.
