8.8 in an 88' ranger

ok guys i finally got an 8.8 outta a 96' explorer i got the driveshaft as well...my only question is since obviously my pinion flange on my current driveshaft isnt going to work on the 8.8 can i simply just swap the flange from the explorer DS to my 88's driveshaft? are the ujoints the same?

Good question for a parts store or RockAuto.
I went to Rockauto to search that for you, but the catalog doesn't load well on this work computer. Plus you'd know better what the Ex was and what your truck is.
