Looking for a newer rear axle for my '92 Ranger.

Will the wider 8.8 Axle from a '93 or newer Ranger bolt in?
 
yes just make sure you find one with the same gears.

why do you need/want one? you have an 8.8 already with the 4.0.

The current diff in the truck has some issues and 2nd gereration 8.8 diffs are getting hard to find around here.
