7.5 vs 8.8, and 4.10 vs 4.56?

Well, I'd say I'm going with 4.56's or 4.88's. Which ever I find a better deal on or just find cheaper. I either would be fine. I also feel an 8.8 would be a better choice and I can sale my D-28 pig(I have a hybrid D-35) and 7.5 with 4.10's to gain some money back.

Retaining your 4.10's and running 32's sounds like a good plan to me. You will be running right around 2250 RPM when doing 65mph. I would just stick with that you got, save your moneys.
my 0.02

If I had a V-8, the 4.10's would work, but now that I really look at it........ I feel I'd be lugging the 3.0 with 32's or even 33's, with the 4.10's. We all know how the 3.0 loves high rpm's, even for gas mileage. I can keep my eye out for used set ups, etc.

If your going through the expense of re-gearing go 4:88's. This will allow you to go with 33's later on. Now is not the time to be cheap.

If you need good advice listen to 4X4junkie. :c-n:

we know how strong a 7.5 really is.

mud racing under 300 hp with 33 boggers hold up very well fully welded in mid weight vehicles...4000 pounds and under.....(properly welded that is)

with a full carrier locker they are real good mud racing under 300 hp with 33 boggers. they hold up very well to the limits of the shafts wheeling with 33's

drop in lockers bring different results. 4 cyl can kill them with any 33's "wheeling"...though in general they hold up surprisingly well..factory l/s or open......total sadness.

im just saying, is it worth it most cases for the swap of a 8.8 losing ground clearance to run say 33's, in my opinion the loss in ground clearance for the gain in strenght is not a trade out im willing to make
