7.5 swap to a 8.8?????

Anyone know how difficult or expensive to swap out a destroyed many times over 7.5 rear to an 8.8 on a 1990 ford ranger xlt ext cab?

It depends on the 8.8 being used, from an explorer or ranger?
Ranger=Bolt In (I beleive)
Explorer=Welding on spring perches and shock mounts.
I'd go for a Explorer one, as they are 31 spline and you can find them with rear disc brakes. (After a certain year....checking on that...After 95, came with rear discs)
