hey fellers been a minute. I'm planning on putting a Limited Slip or a Powertrax lock right in my '07 2.3 ranger with a 4.10. I found a used limited slip on craigslist that came out of a 4.10 ranger, has the axle pin. Should i just buy the trac-loc for $75 or buy a new one (g2 axle & gear oem replacement), or get the lock right? not planning on going windows deep in the mud, just off road, some mudholes etc.

Nothing wrong with the No-Slip except price. Real easy to install. The L/S you are looking at might need new clutches and so.

Is the 'thick ring gear problem' only on 4.56 and up or is 4.10 included?
also, is there an Aussie Locker available for the 7.5? I looked at their site and it confused me. I would like the Aussie because it's cheaper. $269 vs $399..

EDIT: AUSSIE replied to me, said that they aint got one. :bawling:

Going with the lock right. Gotta use the solid cross pin that comes with the locker. narrow down 2 or three of the ring gear teeth and slide that sucker in. now i just gotta find $399 laying around somewhere.... wait at www.rocky-road.com its $323. if ida known that i wouldn't have bought this S&W! dangit!
