64" leaf / shackle flip questions

you dont have to cut the mount on the ext cab, the reason being the same as why there is no specific lift height number.

you put the hanger where you want/need it to be, so you get to your desired ride height.

many ways to skin this cat

i also am looking to get into this 64" craze as well but for purpose of about 6" lift and travel and have been studying up on it for some months now, what ive learned is just like bobbywalter said its a custom lift. there is no way it HAS to be done. you can flip or not flip relocate 6 in front, cut cab mount or not, i mean there is strictly a lot of ways it can be done. however PlumCrazy has done it right if you ask me. that is essentially what your best bet will be from what i know. move 6" forward, cut the cab mount but besure to resrengthen it, flip your shackle and run it. but do remember what some often forget... if your flipping your hangers then a DROP shackle will LIFT ride hight but a Lift shackle will DROP ride hieght :icon_thumby:

When I put in my 64's(no overload) and flipped my shackles, I got a net lift of 0. I ended up re-arching 4-5" but they settled at about 2-3" of lift.
Your mileage may vary, depending on spring condition, leaf count etc.

Thank you to everyone who posted numbers. It'll help folks like me who are not savvy (yet) with custom modifications.
