60 40 mod

Did you get the $30 Clutter Catcher? That's what I grabbed last night, sounds like what you're describing. I didn't do anything to the console, just put a short piece of 1x4" wood against the floor and bolted it down, then set the console on top and screwed it down.

looks great man, i wouldn't mind having this eventually, i don't even use the arm rest, and it's not like anybody bigger than a 2 week old can fit there without not being able to shift gears without touching somebody's privates haha.

I just cut out mine tonight. It's fairly straight forward. The seat cover is held in place by plastic clips bout 4 inches long and slid into the bottom of the seat frame. They pop off easily. Once you have it pulled back you'll see the foam and frame. the foam can be removed with a sharp knife. Then the fun begins. You can use a hack saw or a cut off wheel. I used both. The hack saw is a lot of work but it cut faster than the wheel. The whole job took bout an hour. Be sure to have some seat covers to go over the existing covers cause you will have some serious droop on the side removed. When finished you can't even tell it was ever a 60/40!
If you trim the excess material on the side carefully, you can loosen the seat track and pull the remaining length under it and tighten it back down. That's what I did and the only thing you can see is one tight fold toward the front of the seat side where the fabric tucks underneath. The console covers that as well, so it now looks completely factory.

I didn't trust myself enough to cut the fabric and cushion. I just took the cusshion and fabric off and cut the frame down. Then I went to the JY and got the cushion and fabric from a pass seat and put it on my frame. It looks perfect. Unless you know that my truck didn't come that way you would never notice.
