6.9 Tranny swap

what 5 speed tranny can i swap into a 83 250 with the 6.9? It already has a 4 speed but it seems like it needs one more gear. is this a good thing to do or not? Help please.

a zf would be a good choice. that's what the guys swapping Cummins engines are using

the zf is a ford transmission it should be a bolt in swap
