5L into a ranger

i was just wondering how hard it was to convert my 1999 ranger 4L to a mustang 302 and a 5 spd standerd from the stock auto just for the futur when my engine and transmision go because I have over 400,000 km on them if it would be a good swap to go to or just put another 4L back in it??
