5 sp shifter play

Ok, since I got my explorer's trans swap done, the 5 sp shifter has a lot of play in it. Like 1-2 inches, making it very hard for me to get into reverse without grinding gears.. Does this mean the trans is bad? What would I need to do to fix this?

Nevermind, I figured it out. Just have to save the money to get the bushings and washers, and the two pins.
