5 psi at idle after warm up??!! holy crap

Yes I wouldnt use gas beside the fact of scoring its extremely thin so if you have five psi with 10w-30 then might get one psi with gas in there. Oh and it might eat some seals and gaskits...

When I buy a car/truck or engine I assume its been mistreated (and Im usually right) and use motor flush to get whatever gunk is in there out I also use seafoam through a vac hose witch works great for the stuff that motor flush cant get at.

Does your oil pressure increse with RPM?

You techinally only need 10PSI for every 1000rpm.

ya it does that exactly that. it actually jumps up to 20psi as soon as i accelerate. maybe koldcustoms is right, it could be a spun bearing. im not burning any oil but i am slowly leaking it at valve covers(of course)

now , i do not know what makg thinks of this , but when i had my 2.9 , when i changed my oil i left the filter and added a gallon of diesel to the crankase , ran it for about 30 - 45 seconds , then shut the truck off , drained it changed the filter and filled the oil back up , never had another problem till it blew a core plug , at which point i sold it and the kid that bought it still has it

Funny thing, I have actually thought about the diesel thing....not the Gallon part though. They say that Seafoam stuff is no more than a solvent, so if you're supposed to put only so many ounces in per quart of oil, I don't see why diesel would hurt....I ain't brave enough to try it though.

Diesel has been proven to be a good cleaning agent in turbine engines, however, when cleaning a turbine it does not come in contacet with the bearings which are completely sealed from the rest of the engine. I would be hesitant to put it in an automotive engines crank case simply because it will be detrimental to your bearings.
