5" lift kit. what else do i need

I have a 2000 Ranger XLT 2wd 3.0L.

Ive never done any suspension work on anything, but i would like to attempt to do this myself. it looks pretty straight forward, but im not sure what to expect along the way.

So im interested in getting this kit

Its a 3" spindle, 2" coils, shocks and 3" block for the rear.

If i were to get this kit what other parts do i need to complete the job. also once the job is done, i know i need to get an alingment. but what about the camber. with a kit like this is the stock adjustments enough?

im hoping someone has done something like this themselves and could maybe give me an idea of what to expect?

you should be fine, besides the best way to learn is to do it yourself. you will need a ball joint puller, and coil spring compressor and if you don't already have it you can rent it from autozone, you wont need extended brake lines but you will however need alignment bushings and the best place to get them from is napa. its a pretty simple install so if you run into any problems along the way just give us a shout and we will be more than happy to help you. oh and what size tires do you plan on running and whats your rear-end gear ratio? he best place to find out your gear ratio will be decoding the door tag or just read the tag attached to your rear diff cover

well i ended up getting a really good deal on some new goodyear territories. they're 235/75/r15 ( about 29" tall). so i do plan on running these for quite some time.

i realize it will look like i need some bigger ones, but thats ok. so im fine with my gearing as is. maybe once these tires run out ill get some bigger ones and change my gear ratio then.

where i live i dont have an autozone or a napa. but im sure there's places around here that i can rent the tools from.

i guess i just gotta dive in there and do it.

lol yup its gunna look quite goofy especially since i ran those exact size tires when i had just a spindle lift and they looked way to small, you might just install the coils and wait to install the spindles when you have to replace the tires
