I have a 1992 Ranger. I have changed the Transfer motor.
When I push the 4 high botton the Trasfer module Clicks - the transfer motor turns and engages the front drive shaft for about 3 second then there is a click - like the magnet releases and it drops out of 4x4 - the lights never come on - the front wheels do not lock in (dont think they have time)
I have learned that the Brown wire is the magnet. I also see that there is 2 other wires that go to a sensor? and then there is the 2 wires and speedomitor cable at the top..
Does any one know why it does not stay in 4x4, whay lights do not come on, and what that sensor is?
