4x4 ranger v-8 swap

i have a 92 ranger ext. cab 4x4 4.0 automatic 6in suspension lift and 3in body lift. i got a 302 that is carburated that i want to put in it. the truck is not going to be used for four wheeling or anything like that it is just for show and driven once and awhile around town. can anyone give me any info on what i will run into on the wiring and what will be the easiest tranny and transfercase combo? was hoping to be able to do this with out spending my whole life savings.
