4x4 ranger drop shackles question

hey guys .
have a 2000 ford ranger 4x4
looking to lower the rear
heard about lowering shackles..
any feedback on them ?
and is there anything else i would need to do besides just shackles?

Don't the 4x4's still come with a block between the axle and spring pack? If so, you could just remove that. You may need to get new u-bolts if there isn't enough thread on them w/o the block.
