4r44e speedo gear.

I need to put a smaller drive gear in my transmission. I read the info in the tech library about how to replace it but I can't find a speedometer cable anywhere. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem, is it electrical? It is a 1998 Ranger 3.0 L with a 4r44e. Or so that is what the tech library says is my trans.

Its because you dont have a speedo gear or cable, its electric reads of of rear end.
