4l to 2.3 Murker Turbo engine swap?

It sounds strang, but after having a secong 4l head gasket go and anti freeze leaking into a cylinder, i was going to try something different
I have a 97 B4000 4x4 autu. The truck is solid. I also have a totally rebuilt 2.3l Murker engine which was going to make it's way into a mustang.....my son lost interest in the project so the 2.3 sits in storage. I have tried to sell it but no luck.
How much trouble will I have switching these engines. The 2.3 was used with a standard transmission !988 vintage....

the 2.3 and 4l have a different bell housing so you would deff need a 2.3 trans also merkur wiring harness and computer to install in your truck unless your going big and using a stand alone ecm
