$40 Eagle II do it yourself car alarm

So I purchased this alarm for $40, Seemed to good to be true and should of known that. seemed like an awsome alarm untill I realized it would go off by itself every half hour even after turning the shock sensor to it's least sensitive setting. its made by the same company that made "The Club". The box shows cars from 1990 and says 1992 winner international.
Anyways if anyone has any ideas or can confirm that this is basically 20 yr old crap I would appreciate it.

Maybe find a way to insulate the sensor from shock, perhaps something as simple as a piece of double stick tape between the car and the sensor. Use your imagination
