4" or 6" ?

Im running the extreme drop pitman arm from Skyjacker, part #FA600. The regular drop pitman arm is much too short for a 6" lift. The Extreme Drop puts your drag link and whole steering system straight without any angle, which helps prevent bumpsteer. I havent had any issues with it yet. Theoretically, it does put more stress on the gear box shaft, but if your steering system is up to par and you aren't trying to turn your tires into a wall or something equivalent to that you should be fine.

mhughes165 did bring up an important point....it depends on what size wheel (width and backspacing/offset) you are planning on running with the 33s/35s. With a wheel that sticks out from the fender more, such as a 15x10, you need to go higher or cut some fender. With a simple 15x8 with a higher backspacing, you can clear the tires easier but might cause some rubbing on the radius arm at full lock. This information is useful in deciding how high to go...

Well, you kind of are. The equivalent things would be rocks, logs, hard ruts, tree stumps, etc.

Like I said, it can work, but your steering will definitely be stronger and more reliable with a 4" lift.

yea i think im goin with the 4" suspension then maybe some body lift. cause id really like to keep it as low as possible to get through what i need to. an cheaper cost of course. so how good are rough country or tuff country kits these days?

From what I've heard they are decent lifts. But with lifts you get what you pay for. A $700 Skyjacker or Superlift will be stronger than a $450 Tuff Country.
