got it fixed! when I reassembled everything, I didn't doublecheck my work, and left one of the lifters disconnected from the rocker. ( lifter rod was there, just sitting.)

works like a champ now

Don't feel to0 bad.. I've done that before too.. In my case it actually drove fine for 10-15 minutes. Then all of a sudden it popped out and I had no compression on one cylinder.

since then I've learned to double/tripple check the pushrods once I have the rocker assembly down.

Pull your valve cover off and make sure you have all of the pushrods actuating the rockers on that bank.

Of course, the next day, the flexplate shit the bed, but that was no big deal
