hello all. i am looking in building a 4 link rear and 3 link front suspention systems for a winter project and was wondering what to use

1. so i use hiems or johnny joints??
2. Where to buy them??
3. should i use hiem(or Jjoint) on both ends of the links or can i use a bushing 4. for one?
5. what to use for material?
mounts?
6. 4 link calculaotrs?
7. hiems or the steering? yes or no, and what to use

any help would be great, i would like to be able to drive this on the street(if possible)

if you register at pirate, it is well worth buying the red star so that you can search the forum. if you are serious about this, and you cant answer these questions yet, you need to do alot more research. FYI, Johnny joints are rebuildable, hiems are not. in the long run you will want johnny joints.

I've been doing research on link suspensions. Right now I'm focused on measurements and strength of materials. I'll be putting my findings online November 1st. I'm going to research joints next.

I've been creating a basic materials calculator for strength of materials that uses excel that I will be uploading as well.

There is an excellent calculator at pirate4x4 that you can download but I have to find it. It goes in to a LOT of detail.
