anyone run there 3rd gen ranger with 4" of lift with 33's. i'm trying to decide if i want to do 2" suspension and a 2" or 3" body lift.

I know its enough lift im just wondering which look I like better. I kinda like the stuffed look so im thinking 2" suspension and 2" body and 33x10.5 bfg a/t

I just put a 4 incher on my '93 on saturday and stuffed 33x12.50's under it and it looks aaaaaawweessoommee!! Rubs a bit on the lower valance though when cranked in reverse which will be easy to fix through some minor surgical procedures...

do you have pics?
and also i plan on running 10.5's so that should elimintate most rubbing

Yeah, trying to upload a pic from my phone. It's taking it's sweet time... My valance was conveniently cut by the previous owner to fit 31s, so the rubbing is VERY minimal. I'll only have to cut about an inch of the bottom corner off. Those 10.5s shouldn't have much, if any, problem at all. As soon as my pic uploads to my email, I'll post it for you.

Dont mean to thread-jack... But what about a 2nd gen fitting 33s? I want to get 33s, and am gettign a 4" suspension soon. Is this by any chance ok to fit 33s? Will i want 31s untill i get the BL and wear out these? I know 7" of lift will lol, just couldnt see me having everything at once. :P Thanks

maybe with a lot of fender trimming. you probably need closer to 6"s to clear 33's

and it looks good with the 4" and 33's. my brother has a 97 4.0 4x4 and has 31's stock with no rubbing. he could probably do 33x10.5's with just leveling coils so i'm not worried about rubbing or trimming at all. i can't wait to have all this crap done (replacing brakes and exhaust) so i can start lifting

Ok thanks. Maybe ill just go 31"s with the susp lift and run those tires untill the 31s wear.
