4 cyl 4x4

Hey guys,
I am planning a 2.3 turbo swap in my 95 4.0 automatic 4x4. I wanna do an auto to manual swap while I am at it, seeing that I have to change the transmission anyways. I found a 4cyl 4x4 manual transmission at a junk yard I was wondering if I can use my original transfer case. I was in the tech section and it looks like I can but I just wanted to make sure.

Also in the tech section I thought I read that the same transmission was used in the manuals for 2x4 and 4x4. So would I just be able to go pick up any manual off a 2.3 and swap the extension housing?

Swapping the extension housing requires disassembling the trans and switching the output shaft.

You can use the same transfer case behind any of the transmissions, no worries there.
