Was wondering the trick to removing the fuel injectors from the lower intake...
I see where they have a "skirt" that holds them into the lower, but have no ide how to get them off, or if they are replaceable, as I cracked one. Is there a special tool or something I am missing?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

you just unbolt the fuel rail, unplug injector and they should pop out.
not fastened iirc

On a 4.0 you first remove the upper intake.

Then the studs that retain the upper intake must be unscrewed from the lower intake, as they hold the fuel rail to the lower.

when you pull the fuel rail the injectors come out...

yeah they are sooo easy to remove. They have little rubber O rings that retain them into the fuel rails and intake. Just put steady pressure pulling up and they will pop right out.

Hi, you didn't state why you are taking them out, however i will guess you will be putting new ones or cleaned ones in. here is a small tip to ensure an easier replacement. take a drop of liquid dish soap (palmala, dawn sunlight ... ) and give the rubber seal a small light coating. this will help when you apply pressure to the injectors so that they will slide in with out binding. and this will also help to prevent you from cutting the rubbers if they don't seat properly. Take care in lineing up the tops into the 6 rail holes for uneven pressure can cut them up (learnt be doing). if you were told to use oil on these , oil could have the effect of drying out the rubbers in long term.
