4.0 vin X

The classic "tick" in a 4.0 engine is actually galling of the pushrod socket in the underside of the rocker arm and the pushrod tip.

It's literally a couple of hours worth of work to fix the problem with new parts,
You'll need rocker shaft assemblies and pushrods as well as a pair of valvecover gaskets.

It's not a big deal.

It's certainly not worth replacing the engine for.

Is this the same for a 2.9? I have a 2.9 in one of my B2's that ticks like crazy! Goes away when warmed up

So what is the difference between a 1991 4.0 and A 1994 4.0
??

as far as i'm finding out, only the brain & related components, i.e. ignition, sensors and such...
