4.0 swap with c4? np203

I have a 88 b2 im looking to turn in to crawler. I have a 4.0 l and the ford np 203 and 205 for a doubler. Have the axles need out pf full size. Can run either 9throw in or dana 60. Then for front a dana 44.. my question is what trans to go with and how will it work?

From what I remember a C4 can be put on a 4.0 with factory parts. You need the C5 bellhousing from an earlier RBV. As far as the converter it would have to be for the same earlier vehicle but you would want a non lock up converter. The true problem will be putting that doubler on the C4. I have never seen a fullsize t-case pattern for a C4. Some books say they are out there but I have never seen one. Most likely you would have to try advance adapters or such to get them mated up. The AOD or C6 would be no problem for the t-case issue but the engine could be. I believe AA may have an adapter to use (it was being developed a while back) the AOD so that may be the place to look.

I knew about the c5 c4 combo working . I think my problem is the c4 np 203 mate issue. How bout a divorced np 203 or a kit to make mine a divorced unit?
