For those of you wondering what a 4.0 (OHV or SOHC, though the SOHC may sound somewhat different) would sound like when equipped with straight-through exhaust....this video is for you.

Made this vid for a member in the 4.0 forums, but thought the rest of TRS would like an example.

that dent in your bedside is so big for a second i thought it was a flareside :icon_rofl:

sounds decent though...still single exhaust which has always sounded a little droney to me.

Flareside? hahaha thats a new one on me.

Thats not even half as bad as it was a few weeks ago. Been slowly working on it with hammers/dollies. The "big" part is going to be the hardest, as the working space gets pretty narrow the farther up you go. Prolly gonna hafta drill/pull it.

But yeah, was pretty pleased with the sound when I had the exhaust installed about 14 months ago. Its a little droney when I get to using half-throttle in the 2k-3krpm range, or when I Motor Brake.

ive been reading and wondering if i should put a 90 pointed down right off my muffler (magnaflow) but i dont know if i should just straight pipe it?!?! any help?

Personally I dont like turndowns, but exhaust is almost all personal taste anyway.

What are you trying to accomplish by putting turndowns on it?

Fix your brakes.
