Hello all,
I ended up changing the heads on my 97 4.0 OHV with Clearwater heads and in the process I changed basically everything with the cooling system from radiator, hoses, water pump and thermostat. When i took the lower radiator hose off it had a bypass hose running to the intake by the thermostat but when I bought a new one it was 1 piece so I did away with the bypass. Now every time I shut it off it’s bubbling into the overflow. I can’t seem to find that bypass hose set up new anywhere for a 4.0. I read somewhere that ford created a bypass kit due to this issue, something about hot spots and flow issues. Dose anyone know anything about this or do you think I blew a head gasket possibly from installing it no right.
Thank you
