M5OD 1st 3.77; 2nd 2.21; 3rd 1.52; 4th 1.00; 5th .81; Reverse 3.40

I can't verify the 4sp ratios, but these I know are ratios for the FM145/146.

The M5OD (non-4.0L version) is:
1st- 3.72:1, 2nd- 2.20:1, 3rd- 1.50:1, 4th-1:1, 5th-0.79:1, Rev-3.40:1

I wanted to give everyone an update. I installed the 4.56 hears and this completely resolved my issue of not being able to pull hills in 4th and 5th gear! Also I've gained a lot of power through all of the gears, especially 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. This is the best mod so far.

Planning to swap a M5R1 into my 84 with a 2.8. The 4.0 flywheel and clutch DOES fit on the 2.8? So when you did your swap did you go FULL 4.0 clutch parts?

Im not ordering anything until I know 100%

I ordered all 4.0 flywheel, clutch kit, 2.9 slave, 4.0 starter, 2.9 pilot bearing, then had to make the wire. I did a 2.9 not a 2.8. I’ve had about 1500 miles on it and now my slave or clutch master is messing up. Think I got a faulty slave cylinder.
