i'm looking for ideas on something i could use as a third brake light on a fiberglass cap? the back window has the privacy glass in it and i'm afraid it would be to dark to mount one inside and didn't want something stupid looking.
i'm not afraid to drill some holes i can seal them up with some windshield goop.

so lets have some ideas?????

Why not just look for a vehicle at the junk yard with that that will work for you?

most of what i see driving around are mounted on the back dash or molded in the trunk lid. sadly i don't have the Knowledge to work with the glass to mold it in. :icon_confused:

I'm with the 3rd light from a Chevy, truck, Van or the SUV - large and small; they mount to teh outside top, not too big and look good.

2nd thought, buy a small LED strip or strips (some are around 4 inches long) and place it/them on the top or back lip above the hatch of the Cap.
The only problem is the logic circuit if you have the Brake and Turn Signals on the same wire, the turn signal will blink the LED Strip.
You could run a second wire from the brake light switch under the dash to the 3rd brake lights.
If you have separate Turn Signals then there should be no problems...

Third brake light off a Chevy Astro van I put on my BII a few months ago.

I like that idea../\...and been thinking about doing something like that on my '04 Ranger.
I drive an '04 Safari as a Co.van and that's the 3rd brake lite used on the van.
