35s wander all over the road

post up a pic of your front steering geometry, is probably not that close to being leve, on the ranger TTB suspension the steering geometry needs ot be close to level as possible. u would be fine to air ur tires down to 35 psi even, u wont even notice the difference and u want be pissed cause ur tires will have a bald spot in the center....actually airing the tire down slightly will allow u to handle better, becuase at higher pressures it pushes the center of the tread out more and creates less of a footprint to transfer stresses to. by having equal contact at reccomended pressures u have better footprint, better handling and less wandering

Alright I'll post a pic up later on today after work.

Wow, this really took off. If anybody cares anymore, I aired them up to 35psi. That made a world of difference. Thanks.

35 is the magic number for most tires.....

I can get more in the morning if these are to dark. Also I noticed it isnt fully level since I added the spacers under the coil.

thats not bad at all, if i were u, air down to 35psi, and look into a steering stabilizer, doesnt look like ur runnin one up front

Yea I want one but heard that they dont work with drop pitman arms?? I think there is one for sale still on here but it doesnt come with mounting hardware. Also how much of a difference can I expect with a steering stabilizer?

they work fine with drop pitmans, and u will have a noticable difference, i would just go online to like summit and order the skyjacker dual steeryin stabilizer kit for the exploder, they work really well and add SIGNIFIGANT gains in my experience

Cool well that solves one problem. Thanks for the input and I apologize pimtool for hijacking your thread.

Yeah, all the new parts in the world ain't gonna make a damn bit of difference if the geometry is all wrong.

That's not bad, but it could be better. A stabilizer might help cover up some of the wandering, although better would be to swap to the larger Skyjacker #FA600 pitman arm (or the Superlift steering kit). Might help your tires last longer too (less toe change).

The superrunner steering kit's a bit pricey but would the even larger pitman arm put the tie rods like this \/?

Naw, you're about 2-2½" up on your linkage from what I can see, the SJ arm is 2" lower than a 'normal' drop arm (if it does look "V", use some thicker coilspacers :icon_twisted: Looks like you got the room for aligning it)

Yea when I installed the lift my tires were like this / \ and the camber bushings wouldnt allow for any more positive adjustment so I had to add the spacer just to get the camber correct. But I will definately look into that dropped arm as well. I think I saw one on ebay.
