35s on my Ex

Good coils? I think the coils I have are fine. I've hit every speed bump and railroad crossing at speed and they have soaked them up like they were nothing. I know they will settle a bit but when it rolled out of the shop it measured at 6.25 inches of lift.

.

I was simply speaking of coils that would allow the suspension to actually FLEX a little offroad. Their RBV TTB coils are like most... Too stiff for flexing. Having the dual-mount like that and a set of lower seats available leads me to think they might be gearing up to release some TTB kits that would make use of better EB coils.
Hopefully they've got a good grasp on the steering though, as that by itself will make the difference between a warrior to fight the J00ps with, and something that's going to put you all over the road.

I'd be up for a set of bolt on better upper coil buckets.....IF I wasn't going to push my axle ahead 2". But, it's a VERY good thing to have developed for our RBV market.

I thinks its great if they get into SAS swap kits as long as they don't charge big $$$ for it like other places do, I mean when you can do it with a little elbow grease and junk yard parts they are gonna have to try and be competitive. But it is very encouraging that there is a company out there doing some R & D on anything RBV.

All you would need to do is open one of the holes up to a 3/4" hole. Remove the Factory bolt/stud for the coil retainer. put a spacer on top of the rad arm tab to raise the bucket to clear the knuckle. About 1.5" Replace with a 3/4" bolt of the proper length to not protrude too far past the nut in the beam.

You mean like this?

All I had laying around was the 2" tube. That's why I used the large washer on the bottom to give it a bigger footprint. It's only about 1 3/4" high so I doubt it'd put too much stress on a grade 8 bolt. For the most part all the force will be straight down. I've seen coils spaced a lot higher with no problems. If I can get my hands on some stock EB coils I'll swap em out and give it a try.

so those coil buckets you fabbed up requiers no change between a rbv coil and a eb coil? just swap and go?

The Duff coil buckets will accept either ranger coils or EB coils. To run RBV coils you slap it in and throw a keeper on it. To run EB coils on a RBV you slap it in with a different keeper and I fabbed the lower retainers to mount to the TTB.
The reality behind it is running the same coil bucket with the TTB lift and then if you do a SAS you can keep the same bucket and run EB coils on a 44 with the stock (or HD Duff) lower retainers.

Follow me?

got ya. i knew the duff buckets accepted both rbv or eb coils. i wasnt clear about the lower retainer.

Lower retainer was all me. I don't believe Duff has anything like that. I don't really know what their plans are yet for the TTB/SAS swap. I'll find out soon enough and let yall know.

Why yes I did. Got to go snow wheeling Sat. morning. Rode great. 2 things I noticed though, that mofo' is long as all get out, and I will be locked by this weekend. Had to squeeze around a few tight turns by doing 3 point turns and ended up having to bomb up over something I would have really liked to crawl instead. Suspension worked great, I was by myself so I didn't get any pix but maybe this weekend????
Another thing was my auto hub on the drivers side popped quite a bit. Never while under load but when I was just easing down the trail you'd think I was making popcorn. I'm not too worried about it because it worked and I'll be swapping front ends before too long.
