hey guys...this isnt bout a ranger but the f150 i have with a 351w thats got a coolant leak somewhere. Well i have a thot of what the problem might be but just want to hear ur opinion. Anyways the motor bfor it went in my truck i found out it was recently rebuilt...and saw cross hatces on the cylinder walls from ball honing soo ya. When i was at work my bro put the timing cover and water pump on the motor and i didnt notced till after the motor was in the truck that he never pulled a what was left of a water pump bolt out. Looking at the front of the motor, the right side of the waterpump and timing cover isnt tighting cuz of that. Would yins agree with me that it could be the cause of my problem? The truck doensnt even smoke and its not over heating so kinda elminated the posibility of head gaskets ha and its rebuilt too. Oh and when i changed the fuelpump...thats where i noticed the most coolant in the oil. Just let me know what yins think, thanks.

i had a leak in my 4.0 had to get a new motor. long story short the block cracked

yes that broken bolt could cause coolant in the oil. the coolant runs through the timing cover. an intake manifold gasket or a head gasket could also cause the same problem but the broken bolt AND the recent work is pointing at the timing cover
