351M firing order

hey guys i searched and couldnt find exactly what im looking for
im putting the engine back in my truck and not sure on the firing order on the cap i know how it is for the cylinder, and i think on the cap i read that its 13726548 but where do this start? and its counter clockwise right?

is this pic right? it only says 351w on the page its from so is it the same for mine?

Firing order 13726548 is for newer fuel injested 302HO, 351w
Firing order 15426378 is for older, carbed 302, 351w
The photo provided shows distributor rotation and cylinder location which does not change between the two. The cap should have a "1" stamped next to number 1 terminal.

It should be noted thet your cam choice is responsible for firing order, and is writen on the cam card.

Boggin - I don't know what a 351M is. I only know of 351 C(leveland) and 351 W(indsor). The firing order on my old 351W was 15486372. There was a 1 on the distributor cap to start with and it did go counterclockwise. Cyl #1 was the driver's side front, #4 was driver's side rear, #5 was passenger's side front and #8 was passenger's side rear. Loved that car. Gave it to my father-in-law when I got 375,000 miles on it. He put another 200,000 on it and sold it to some college kid who was still driving it the last I knew. Engine never been open - lots of water pumps, alternators, power steering pumps, tires and brakes. The only real problem it ever had was it always drank brake fluid and no one was ever able to fix that.
