32 year old decals

I was able to source NOS 1993 ranger STX graphics, unsure of how they would apply being 32 years old, but to my surprise they laid down pretty well. i did run into a snag with the transfer tape on the other hand. when pealing it off it left a sticky residue on the sticker. so far, I've tried Windex, LAs totally awesome, Dulip-Color grease and wax remover, and rubbing alcohol. nothing is doing a very good job or removing the adhesive. if anyone has any suggestions of a product to use that won't mess up the vinyl sticker, please let me know.

IIRC @BlackBII put NOS decals on his STX

Be careful in the meantime you don't get dirt in the adhesive, that will damage your decal for sure.

That’s what I was thinking next, just wasn’t sure if it would cause any issues with the color of the actual sticker

wd40 is my go-to for softening gooey stuff.
have to work with it for a few minutes.

And yep I also applied some 30+ year old decals on my truck - they went on easily and haven't peeled or lifted in the 4 or so years they have been on the truck

Did you have any issues with the backing leaving adhesive residue on your decals?

Nope no issues with that. I did have some issues with the paper backing sticking to the inside of the decal, and had to carefully scrape it off with a razor blade. If you look close on the STX part on my truck on one side, you can see some bumps/bubbles that I couldn't get rid of because of that
