my vote is for the one size not listed: 235/85x16.

nice suggestion. just as tall. but narrower. and no c-rated. so heavier. all the material must be in the sidewall.

yeah, i have 215/85x16's on now and hopefully the 235/85x16's next summer. very heavy duty, but the best part is i don't worry too much about getting a flat tire! it's all in the materials used. not really 10 full plies anymore, just the equivalent in load carrying capacity. mine air down real nice for the trails, and being narrow, i can pick my way around obstacles better than having to beat my truck over them and hope nothing breaks. they don't ride bad at all in my opinion. and do check out the www.treadwright.com site. great tires for way less than the big name brands.

I just checked out that page. those tires look pretty aggressive and are waay cheaper than anything else I've found. I have to see that size in person though, I dont like the pizza cutter tire look lol. I was thinking about about 33x1.50's for my truck but I dont want to loss a lot of power or have my milage go to shit.

you'll probably need to regear as i did to keep your power and some economy. foot was always to the floor with my old 3.45 gears. 4.56's now and i couldn't be happier. can really use 5th gear and my cruise control on the freeway! i've been running my current set of the AT's for over 3 years. they have been great in snow, ice, and up to about 6" of mud here in northern minnesota. they still have probably 75% of the tread left as they've been on light vehicles, geo tracker and now my ranger. hope to get the same tires in 235/85x16 next summer before i head to alaska.
