31s?

Trucks that old are each different in different ways, depending on spring wear and such. I had a set of 19x11.5s on the back of my 92 with 285/45/19's it was a monster tire and for street purposes it did fine, while cuting through the ditch into my yard it cut the tread a little but not bad enough to hurt anything.

There are too many posts and too many stickies, especially in the tires section to be going over this again, not that I mind the questions, but how can you learn anything about the site or your truck if you dont dig around a little.

my tires are 31 inches with only a 2 inch body lift. the original tires on my '83 were 195/75x15. current tires are 215/85x16, and nothing rubs. plan on going to 235/85x16, 32+ inch tires next summer. being skinny tires, it helps lots in clearance of sheet metal and chassis components. just my $.02.

x2 on the skinny tires

OK i just put 31x10.50's on my truck and I get no rubbing at all. Im pretty surprised and impressed, but no probs. and Im all stock.

i have 235's (29 inches tall) on my b2 right now, they rub on the front way bar if i turn too hard, but it doesnt hurt anything.

i found a sweet deal on some 31x10.50 goodyear wranglers at walmart, $589.xx with free mounting/balancing and lifetime rotations and balancing as long as i buy them before 9/30/10.

so, first off i'm gonna do the 2" skyjacker coils and the imitation belltech 6400's i got at work for $20. later, i'm gonna replace the shocks, but not at first. i would do a 4" lift, but i want the suspension to stay as close to stock as possible.

if they rub, i'm gonna get a 2" body lift

if they rub after that, i'm gonna bit the bullet and get some new wheels (i dont want to though, cause i like the stock b2 wheels)

i have a build thread (link in my sig) that i'll post the results on
