I have a 1997 ranger and i am thinking about putting my cousins stock 31' jeep rubicon tires on it....do i need a lift, will the rub be terrible?

you'll be fine....no lift.

Only thing, if you're planning on using the Jeep rims they have more backspace than Ford rims so the tires might rub on the inside. The tires themselves on the Ranger rims should be fine.

they will probably rub the inter fender and the sway bar when you turn with those wheels but it shouldnt be to bad. put them on and see how it is. only way to really tell you

Im actually not using my ranger rims, im getting new cragar soft 8's for it....either way you guys think i will be okay?

31's come stock. (or rather their metric equivalents)

they'll be fine.
