31 inch tires, and 3 inch body lift.

Can someone show me pictures of their Ranger with 31 inch tires, and a 3 inch body lift? Preferably a 1998-2000. I'm looking to see how it would look on my truck.

SAve yourself the money from the body lift and get some nice rims to go with the tires.

Go 2" suspension, and 1" body and 32-33s or stick with the 2" and 31s.

My 93 with 31's and a 3" BL, they look little. That's why I'm probably going for 32's.

Well if it were me thats what I would do. A body lift with all the proper stuff will be around 200 or like 250 if you have a manual transmission. Also on my 84 there was less stuff to get broken or interfered with (no A/C anymore, no extra wiring ect...) In your 99 ther are tons of wires, lines and ground straps that will need extended (all in the kit but its just a pain to do all that). And since your truck can fit 31's perfectly stock and it looks good, it will look goofy if you leave 31's and add all that extra room for 33's. Plus personally I love the extra room for tires but you can see the frame afterwards and that just doesn't look right.

If you did decide to go up to 33's you would most likely need to regear which would cost you even more money.

I would really recommend saving your money on the body lift if you plan on going with 31's, i think my 31's almost look too small with no lift but thats just me. Save your money and put it towards a nice set of rims with your tires is my advice. I got that set of Black steel rims for my truck for 300 bucks new.

If you want though, I would recommend cranking the torsen bar and leveling the truck, getting your tires and rims and then getting an alignment. some places will include a free or discounted alignment with the purchase of new tires.

Yeah, thanks guys. You pretty much changed my mind on the whole thing.
One question, do you think I can fit 32's without the lift? Or should I just stay with the 31's and save the money for some new rims like you suggested I do?

I bet 32's will fit and they wouldn't be too much more expensive. So you can still get the rims I would imagine...unless you wanted to buy Toyo tires then you'd be flat broke.

Stepping up to 32's you can still save your money from the body lift for the rims and you can get it levelled adn everything.

I really don't know how to crank the torsion bars, and I don't have anyone who could help me with it. So, should I go ahead and to the torsion bar leveling kit instead?

yea you gotta go abit bigger if you are gunna put on a bl or they look small. you can get 33s up in there atlesat 33x10.5s

What about a torsion bar leveling kit? I would crank it, but I have no idea how to do it.

The leveling kit just adds bigger keys which is a waste of money and you would put more work into them then cranking the T bars.

Cranking them is easy, you jack the truck up on the frame till the front tires are about 3" from the ground and then get a wrench with the right socket and crank the bolt by the T Bar till the tire almost hits the ground and lower it and drive it around a little bit to let it settle in.

Maybe... well probably but every truck is different. Most people say they can't get 33's under their trucks without cranking the t bar a little bit but I can...

So I willl stick with maybe. The best you can do would be to take it to a shop and have them test fit a 32" tire on your front and make sure it will clear.

EDIT: Also keep in mind that even if the tire clears on your stock rim if you chose to go with another rim it could rub.
