302 with t5

first off im new to the ranger station but ive been browsing the tech library for a little while now just trying to see what im getting myself into. I bought a 97 ford explorer it has all the wires it was wrecked but the motor is good. i also got a t5 from a 91 mustang. and i was reading on here where you have to have the computer with that combo like 302 with a manual transmission. my question is can a t5 bolt up to the explorer motor? and do i have to get the computer flashed or should i get a whole new computer? any advice will be greatly appreciated! ha and i know without a doubt im going to run into a lot of problems...

The T-5 with bolt right up. Sounds like you have all the parts, stay with that computer and just get the auto functions deleated out of the computer. I hope you have read all the good info up in the tech library on the Explorer swap.
