302 in 87 ranger

I have an aod trans and 302 out of a mustang. Will this fit into my 87 4x4 ranger which has a 2.9 v6 and an auto trans?

mmm the sweet smell of newb. There is an entire section of this website dedicated to that. I'm sure you will find it with only scrolling down a few more inches. You can fit a 460 in there, it may just take some creative thinking and use of BFH and torch.
