302 and Tremec?

so ive been thinking of dropping an older (mid 70s) ford 302 in my
'94 4x4 splash.

My dad has a 94-95 mustang cobra tremec (3550? i think) tranny, and i was wondering if i could put it in my ranger?

if i can, with it being a 5speed, can i still run my 4x4? just use like a f-150 transfer case?

Sorry but no adapters made. Have to run a divorced transfer case if you want to use the Tremec. Mid 70's (73-76) are the worse 302's every to use, only 8:1 compression (higher deck height, deep dished pistons), crank timing retarded. If it's a Tremec 3550, not stock I think. Is there a small metal tag on the top of the trans that measures 5/8" wide X 3" long? That would help to really identify what that trans is.
